The Celebration of the Chinese
Moon Festival and
China National Day
Date/Time: 9/29/2007, Saturday, 2:00pm to 5:00pm Kids Activity: 1:00pm Address: Mission College, Gym 3000 Mission College Boulevard Santa Clara, CA 95054-1897 Parking Lot: B (free parking only at this lot) Admission: Free The annual celebration of the Chinese Moon Festival and China National Day has become a traditional event in the Bay Area. The program this year includes solos, duets, choruses, and the unique “Peking Opera Song?by famous Peking Opera singer Yong Ju. There will also be traditional dances, instrument performances such as Gu Zheng, the symphony “Hua Hao Yue Yuan?by CYCS (California Youth Chinese Symphony), and wonderful acrobatics, folk music, Kung Fu, and the Peking Opera’s “Gui Fei Zui Jiu". The Final Award winners from Dance USA will perform their award winning dance. Ms. Rose Wen from Taiwan will present distinctive Taiwan folk songs. All of the great performances will bring you a lot of joy. For kids there will be fun activities like jump house, face painting, and interesting games such as riddles, fishing, trap, hula hoop, etc., with the support of the Union Chinese School. Many Chinese community groups and alumni associations will present information about their organizations at the celebration. Don’t miss this great opportunity to see wonderful performances, enjoy fun activities, and get together with old and new friends. This event is free of charge and everyone is welcome! |
